 HMYA Membership

  • MEMBERSHIP Requirements - Membership is restricted to 11+ Central Area Saudi Aramco employees or others defined as eligible under Saudi Aramco policies. Dependents cannot sponsor their own membership. Because facilities for off-shore cruisers are not available at other Saudi Aramco Yacht Clubs, 11+ Saudi Aramco employees residing outside of the Central Area, who own off-shore cruisers, may also become members of the HMYA. The member must own a seaworthy vessel which is currently registered with the Saudi Arabian Government and has been inspected by the appropriate Fleet Captain. Power Boats must have a minimum of 10 HP. The Membership Secretary will require sight of Government registration papers for all boats. Membership will be terminated should a member not own a currently registered boat over a 90-day period. No boat may be brought into or stored at the HMYA facility unless it has been registered with the Membership Secretary.  Any unregistered or un-stickered boats at the HMYA facility will be disposed of by the Officers.   • MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION FORMS

    To facilitate the tracking of boat/fleet movement the following Buyer/Seller Intent forms must accompany any application for or change in membership and are required at the purchase/sale of any boat or new member request. The form is available on the HMYA web page of the Community Services website. Those seeking to become HMYA members should obtain the Membership Request form from the Membership Secretary:

    a) Membership Request HMYA Form R (for new members)

    b) Statement of Buyer/Seller Intent HMYA Form I B/S (for existing or new members who are buying or selling a boat)

     

  • Renewal Process
     
    1. 1.Obtain signed Form Q from Fleet Captain.  All boats require Seaworthiness inspections and a signed Form Q issued this year.  For boats that do not pass inspection, a valid Form Q must be submitted within the year or your membership can not be renewed next year. 
       

    2. 2. Determine Correct Renewal and Shed Fees. The Annual Membership Fee is SR 400. Shed fees are only due for Powerboats Sheds. Powerboat Shed fees are SR 400/yr for open sheds and SR 550/yr for closed sheds. Shed fees are paid only by the “owner” of the shed, i.e., the primary boat owner (not partner).
       

    3. 3. Deposit Renewal Fees and Shed Fees at National Commercial Bank. Deposit slip must list your name and Saudi Aramco Badge Number on the “Depositor Name” field. The Account Name is “Half Moon Yacht Association” and the Account Number is 053-11366-00-01-05. Please ask the bank teller to enter both your name and badge# when he processes your payment. If your bank provides the service, electronic transfer of funds is also acceptable; however, you must provide a receipt so that the payment may be tracked. In addition, funds may also be deposited by cash payment at an NCB ATM if you have an NCB account; make sure you provide the original receipt.
       

    4. 4. Correct your Annual Renewal Request Form (mailed to you.)

      1. a. Fill in all blanks. If not applicable write "NA" or "None".

      2. b. Check the boat expiry date on form; if expired before April 1st bring current Marine Work Permit with you for the renewal.

      3. c. Sign and Date the Form.

      4. d. If you have sold the boat or purchased a new boat, please fill out the boat ownership correction form and bring it with you when you renew.
         

    5. 5. Come in person during scheduled Renewal with:

    6. 1) Original NCB Bank Deposit Form, and

    7. 2) Your HMYA Membership Cards, and

    8. 3) Your Saudi Aramco ID Card, and

    9. 4) Annual Renewal Request Form,

    10. 5) if boat information needs updating or if your boat was expired or renewed outside the HMYA Broker, bring your Marine Work Permit for all boats and the completed correction form.

      Note:  NO CASH PAYMENTS ACCEPTED.
       

      Note: if you do not have the pre-printed annual renewal form please use this correction form to update your data.
