 Boat Renewal Process and Fees

 The boat owner is responsible for renewing the Marine Work Permit (white book) annually before it expires. 

Fees

Renewal fee for small sailboats (without an engine):  330 SR 
Renewal fee for large sailboats and power boats:      550 SR

Late Renewal

Penalties for late renewal are an additional 100 SR per Hijrah month, not to exceed 500 SR per year, plus 15 SR fee for a certified check. 
Penalties are doubled if the renewal is late for consecutive years.

Lost Marine Work Permit

A lost Marine Work Permit (white book) may be replaced after purchasing a newspaper advertisement and paying a fine of 400 SR in addition to the normal renewal fees and fines (if any).

Required Forms for Renewal: 

(You should receive the standard form package in the mail before your renewal date; if you do not receive it, please go to the HMYA office and get a form packet.)

  1. Boat Owner's Renewal Data

  2. Form A

  3. Form 1 (expats only)

  4. One copy of Form 1 (expats only; copies can be made in the HMYA office)

  5. Two Copies of Iqama for each owner/partner (Expats Only)

  6. Two Copies of Government ID Card for each owner/partner (Saudis Only)

  7. Marine Work Permit (white book)

  8. Power boat owners must provide a Q form (inspection by fleet captain.)

Boat Registration/Renewal Office Hours: 4:30-6:00pm on Saturday and Tuesdays (except on company holidays.)
